- I run my own webhosting business at http://www.adriel.net/. This is run on FreeBSD. I run a virus scanner as part of the mail server, and have set up virtual mail accounts, as well as webmail and a spam filter for all my customers. I also do custom programming with PHP, CGI, JavaScript, C and MySQL for customers who need it.
- I do computer support for businesses and individuals. From installations, upgrades, repairs. Whatever the customer may need.
- At JLM Systems I shared a single RoadRunner connection with 3 buildings using 802.11b bridging technology. I ran networks to all the offices, connected the offices via 802.11b, and supported these connections.
- At Louies Liquor I designed and implemented a retail cash register with accounting tools, using FreeBSD, MySQL, and QT. I also provide support.
- I installed a firewall for Federal Reporting Corporation, and coordinated interaction between this business and their customers via an internet based application to pull credit reports. I also implemented a Fax client/server model based on HylaFAX, which is a UNIX based fax server that talks to UNIX, win32 and mac clients.

- Selftrading securities went out of business in Nov 2002. A new trading room affiliated with ETG securities opened in the same location, and I do similar support for the new trading room on a contract basis.
- June, 1997 - Nov, 2002: Self Trading Securities - Austin, TX
- Sole network administrator, made decisions and recommendations for equipment and implemented them.
- I was the only tech support for all customers. I handled in-house and internet customers with any technical issues they had ranging from operating system problems to customer education.
- I was responsible for recommending and implementing the transfer of our WAN to a faster, more reliable, and cheaper provider. I created several new offices on our WAN, and managed the resulting LANs.
- I made our product available for download on the internet (this software was being distributed on CDROM prior to this), handling security and other issues. I ran a FreeBSD-STABLE box as my primary router and packet filtering firewall. I also used the native kernel rate shaping ability to control bandwidth to and from locations.
- I was primarily responsible for all CGI/Java/HTML related content on www.selftrading.com.
- I implemented and maintained a Java interface to an IRC based help channel where curious traders could get immediate answers to their questions.
- I have written several C/MySQL programs for reports, data entry and collection.
- I have developed small TCP/IP applications in C for parsing market data and redelivery to quote alarm tools. For example, this application could email a pager if a stock reached a certain price.
- I installed and maintained web servers for our corporate Intranet site using RedHat Linux, Solaris and FreeBSD. I also wrote CGI application in perl that allows traders to access daily account information based on username/password. (Prior to this, this information was previously being faxed daily at considerable expense.)
- I created an internal IRC network allow traders to communicate across the WAN/Internet while trading. Later, I connected this network to Othernet (A day trading network).

- I supported Windows NT and Windows for Workgroups network, handled drive and print sharing and a consistent desktop for all users. I supported hardware issues, repaired/upgraded generic systems and out of warranty systems. I was responsible for coordinating issues with the warranty provider of all systems under warranty. I worked with users to ensure they understood applications, answered application specific questions on many applications, and network questions. I wrote a quality database in MS Access for calculating certain quality measures (FPY, Defects per assembly, yield of vendor supplied parts).
